Christmas/New Year Appeal Raffle 2017

 

As part of our Christmas/New Year appeal and in order to help us raise some much needed funds to neuter feral cats in county Cork, Community Cats Network have organised a raffle with some fantastic prizes kindly sponsored by local businesses and supporters.  Tickets are only €1 each or €5 for a book of 6 tickets, but by buying one, you could make a massive difference to the lives of feral cats.

The draw will take place on the 5th of January in Harty’s Pub in Cloyne.

Tickets are only €1 each of €5 for a book of 6 and can be bought online or from one of our volunteers.   Photo of your ticket(s) will be emailed to you when buying online. For other methods of payment, please email us at communitycatsnetwork@gmail.com.

Note that if collection locally cannot be organised, postage will be at your own charge.

Now, the prizes….

1st prize is a “Eat & Shop” Voucher bundle of a value of €300. It consists of several restaurant  and shop vouchers for Pauline’s Gifts and Crafts in Mitchelstown, The Favourite & Scullery in Mitchelstown, Doody Pharmacy in Mitchelstown, Toss Bryan in Fermoy, Lyons Pharmacy & Cafe in Fermoy, Blackwater Garden Centre & Cafe in Kinsalebeg, Jessica Loves in Youghal, The Hunted Hog in Castlemartyr, Magnolia in Midleton, Scarlett in Midleton (kidly donated by a supporter),  The Boothouse in Glanmire (sponsored by one of their kind customers), Dunnes Stores (kindly donated by a supporter) and Eason’s!

Shoe Box Appeal

Give Paw Campaign in Maxi Zoo Midleton 2017

We are delighted to announce that Maxi Zoo Midleton have chosen Community Cats Network for the Give Paw campaign 2017. During the month of November, you can pop in store and buy a friendship wristband to show your support to animal welfare. For each wristband bought in the Midleton store, Community Cats Network will receive €1.50.

We will be at the Midleton store every Saturday in November from 11am to 5pm. You can call in to meet our volunteers and discuss the work we do, as well as give rubs to Prospero and Jasmin (formerly known as Madame Irma), cats who were rescued by CCN.

Christmas Cards and Calendars 2018

Our Christmas cards and calendars 2018 are out now!

We are very proud of our 2018 calendar, which features the photos and stories of some of the cats we have trapped during the year.  It costs €7 and would make an ideal stocking filler or gifts to send abroad.

We are very grateful to Axelle Rychembusch who designed this gorgeous calendar and to Anna, Siobhan and Steph for helping with proofreading.

Our Christmas cards also feature cats and kittens that CCN have been involved with during the year.  You can find the story of each cat inside the card.

The pack of cards costs €5 and contains 6 cards with a different design on each.  There are two models to choose from.

Model 3 contains cards that were kindly designed by Axelle Rychembusch and feature the stories of a colony in Ardmore, Major Tom from Kilady, a large TNR project in Youghal, a young and beautiful Cork city cat, a well-cared for colony in Midleton and of some unusual customers in Mitchelstown.

Model 2 contains cards that were kindly designed by Axelle Rychembusch and feature the stories of a paradise garden in Ballinhassig; Butch Cassidy, the kitten who broke into a bank in Youghal; a new beginning in Kinsalebeg; Come-On from Whitegate; an inhabited garden in Grenagh and the tiny tortie from Monkstown.

The box of cards (model 2) costs €8 and contains 12 cards (6 different designs).  It contains cards that feature the stories of Baloo; Merry, the Christmas Kitten; Mia from Youghal; Garfield and his Brother from Midleton; Cleire, the Island Cat; The Whitegate Gang.

Halloween Raffle 2017

This Halloween, we have a great raffle to offer you!

Facebook Bingo

Do you like to play Bingo? Would you like to play from the comfort of your home? If so, look no further and you will be supporting a good cause too!

For the month of October, we are running an online Bingo on our fundraising Facebook page, The Cat Purrse. All proceeds will go to the neutering of stray and feral cats in West Waterford.

To take part, it’s easy. Buy your card(s) online here (€2 per card or €10 for a sheet of 6 cards). We will email you a photo of your card, which you will need to print. Follow The Cat Purrse page where every day we will be announcing the drawn numbers from the 17th of October. We will be playing for a line, 2 lines and a full house. Annual Street Collections 2017, Round 2

The second round of street collections has begun!

 

We kicked off yesterday in Fermoy and are so grateful to all the volunteers who donated a bit of their time to help raising funds for the local community to neuter stray and feral cats. The support was amazing and we are glad to announce that €591 were raised. Thank you to all who supported!

 

On the 29th of September, we will be collecting in Castlemartyr and would be grateful for any help you can give.

 

On the 20th of October, we will be in Carrigtohill (9am to 6pm). Please get in touch if you can help out!

 

Last but not least, we will be in Midleton on the 27th of October and really need helpers for it to be a success!

36th Evening Echo Women’s Mini-Marathon

The Evening Echo Women’s Mini-Marathon 2017 will take place in Cork on the 24th of September at 1pm.  It is a fun event that helps to raise money for many charities.  You can walk, jog or run the 4 miles.  Although it is a women’s mini-marathon, men are also welcome to take part as long as they are dressed as women!

We will all meet at 12.15pm for a group photo!

If you would like to take part in aid of Community Cats Network, please register for the mini-marathon with the Evening Echo here and send an email to communitycatsnetwork@gmail.com with your details (name, address, contact number and tee-shirt size) or fill in the form here and we’ll send you your sponsorship pack.

Annual Street Collections 2017, Round 1

The season of street collections has begun for us.

We kicked off last week in Youghal and are so grateful to all the volunteers who donated a bit of their time to help raising funds for the local community to neuter stray and feral cats. The support was amazing and we are glad to announce that €574 were raised on the day. Thank you to all who supported!

On the 29th of June, we will be collecting in Mitchelstown and would be grateful for any help you can give.

On the 7th of July, we are back in East Cork with a collection in Whitegate (9am to 6pm). Please get in touch if you can help out!

We will have more collection after the summer: Fermoy on the 14th of September, Castlemartyr on the 29th of September, Carrigtohill on the 20th of October and finally Midleton on the 27th of October.
